BEHIND THE LENS

The first time I was introduced to boudoir was when I was pregnant with my 3rd child and another photographer in my area was looking to do some trade work in exchange for a boudoir session with her. I raised my virtual hand and offered my services in hopes of being able to finally have some photographs of my pregnancy. That was a huge turning point in my own photography career. I wanted to show women that they are beautiful just the way they are. The moment I show her the back of my camera, mid-session, her smile brightens, her confidence heightens and she finally sees herself with the same eyes that I do. THAT is why I do boudoir. I am a published boudoir photographer who strives to capture the true essence of her clients. Some say high-spirited and full of comforting energy. Being able to put a shoot together for a fantasy or shibari session are also ways I enjoy pushing boundaries and expressing myself.​ I am self-taught shibari rigger with hopes of expanding my knowledge to include suspension...my studio is in the lower level of my home with private entrance. While this means less overhead than a traditional studio, it also means that I share my home with my dogs. :)
